Lawrence County States Attorney Michael Strange has announced that two people were recently sentenced to prison in Lawrence County Circuit Court. 31 year old Phillip Hughes of Bridgeport was given 8 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections along with 2 years of mandatory supervised release for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 1 Illinois Felony. Andrew Knepp of Lawrenceville was given 4 years in the D.O.C. along with 2 years of mandatory supervised release for Arson, a Class 1 Illinois Felony. Both men are required to pay assessments and Knepp must pay restitution in his case.
