The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there were 1,420 new cases of coronavirus across the state Monday with 41 additional deaths. The latest Lawrence County Health Department figures were not available. Overall since the pandemic began in Illinois, there have been 1,163,574 cases including 20,002 deaths. The Indiana State Health Department reported there was a single case of COVID-19 in Knox County bringing the total there to 3,536 with no new deaths. As of Monday, there had been 1,823,208 people vaccinated across Illinois. With the LCHD offices closed Tuesday, the scheduled COVID-19 drive-thru vaccination clinic has been postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
