national-weather-service

The National Weather Service has continued the winter storm warning for the entire WAKO listening area through Tuesday morning. After an initial snowfall of around 2 to 3 inches Sunday night, additional heavier snow anywhere from 7 to 12 inches is expected starting Monday afternoon. Road conditions will become slick and hazardous and winds from the north at 20 to 25 miles per hour will create blowing and drifting of the fallen snow. The weather has caused cancellation of both high school and junior high sports Monday for Units 10 and 20. The city of Vincennes has announced the cancellation of trash removal for the entire week to focus on snow removal and that city residents are reminded to keep city snow routes clear for plows. Lawrence County Senior Centers are closed Monday with no home deliveries and the LCMH Rural Health Clinic will close at noon Monday.
