The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,082 new and probable cases of coronavirus across the state Tuesday with 20 more deaths. One of those deaths was a 70 year old male from neighboring Edwards County. The latest Lawrence County Health Department figures show there was only a single case of the disease Tuesday bringing the county case total to 2,303 with 24 active. There are no hospitalizations and 2,249 people have recovered. The death toll remains stationary at 30. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,150,170 cases and 19,686 deaths statewide. The Indiana State Department of Health reports only 1 case of COVID-19 in Knox County Tuesday bringing the county total to 3,494 with no new deaths. The IDPH reported 1,417,156 vaccinations have occured across Illinois overall with 58,189 doses administered on Tuesday.
