Robert ‘Bob’ W. Tracy

Robert ‘Bob’ W. Tracy, age 77, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Sunday, February 07, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on December 31, 1943 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Robroy H. and Opal (Porter) Tracy. He married Brenda (Totten) Wooden on November 11, 2000, and she survives.

Bob owned and operated Tracy Electric. While he was in high school, he worked for Christy Texaco. His memberships included the Lawrence County Industrial Development Council, Lawrence County CEO, Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce, Lawrenceville Downtown Revitalization Committee, Lawrenceville Rod and Gun Club, Lawrenceville Moose Lodge #779, and First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville. Bob was helpful in so many ways, and gave of his time and talents to his community and friends; as well as mentoring the CEO students. He was also a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda; two sons, Rob Tracy and wife, Angie of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Ryan Tracy of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three step-children, Bryce Wooden and wife, Lynn, Amy Muzaffar and husband, Usman, and Brent Wooden and wife, Jodie; one brother, David Tracy and wife, Sherrel ‘Sherry’ of Flat Rock, Illinois; three sisters, Marjorie Myers of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Mildred Ulrich of Evansville, Indiana, and Marian Winters and husband, Dave of St. Louis, Missouri; and eight grandchildren, Rowe Tracy, Reese Tracy, Kaylin Wooden, Kyle Wooden, Bridget Wooden, Claire Wooden, Rafeh Muzaffar, and Aamir Muzaffar.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM CST at the Central Christian Church, 303 Buchanan Drive, Lawrenceville, IL 62439, and may be viewed with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/emmonsmaceysteffey. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM CST at the church. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrence County CEO or Lawrenceville Downtown Revitalization. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
