Amazon and Vincennes University this week announced they are partners in a bold new program. The Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship (MRA) is a U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program that provides training and education to up-skill selected applicants through a combination of immersive classroom learning, hands-on instruction and on-the-job learning. VU is the first university to collaborate with Amazon on such an endeavor. VU President Dr. Chuck Johnson in a statement said that the school was pleased and proud to have been picked by the company for the distinctive partnership. Apprentices in the program will live and learn on the VU Vincennes campus and study and train at the Indiana Center for Applied Technology.
