Reports out of neighboring Wabash County indicate that a Chicago area man and his children were rescued from high waters Sunday evening. The Sheriffs Department says that 42 year old Adam Burdette of Roselle was traveling in a rural area near Bonpas Creek and ran into some high water which caused the engine to malfunction. They were able to contact emergency rescue personell and were found. Burdette was in the area to visit family and became lost. They were taken to Carle Richland Hospital in Olney for observation. Investigation into the incident is continuing.
