The Illinois Department of Public Health reports 9,929 cases of coronavirus across the state this past weekend with 176 additional deaths. The most recent Lawrence County Health Department figures show 2,269 positive cases with 148 active. 1 person remains hospitalized and the death toll is stationary at 29. Overall since the pandemic began there have been 1,126,301 cases and 19,243 deaths statewide. As of Sunday, the IDPH reported 981,988 vaccinations. Congratulations to the LCHD, their staff, volunteers and others for a successful COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Drive Saturday at Lawrenceville High School. Reports indicate over 1000 Lawrence County residents were vaccinated during the day-long event. Knox County Indiana reported 19 new cases Sunday with a total now of 3,340 cases and the death count at 39.
