Authorities report the discovery of a dead body in southwestern Indiana this week. Emergency personnel were alerted to the sighting of a body lying in a rural road west of Alfordsville in Daviess County. The deceased was identified as 56 year old Edwin Harris of Cannelburg. The body was located about 1200 feet from his residence. Investigators believe initially that the snowy and frigid weather was a factor in the death and no foul play is suspected.
