Dennis ‘Woody’ E. Cummins, age 64, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. He was born on October 22, 1956 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Wilbur and Dolores (Hayes) Cummins. Woody and Joni (Seitzinger) Paris raised their three children.
Woody worked at ATS for several years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and kayaking. He was a member of The Pipeliners Fishing and Recreational Club.
Preceding him in death were his parents; paternal grandparents, Pete and Velma Cummins; and maternal grandparents, Raymond and Esther Hayes.
Survivors include his three children, Casey Lee Oberlink and husband, Jason of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Jessica Lee Cummins of Vincennes, Indiana, and Jeremie Dean Cummins of Lawrenceville, Illinois; four siblings, Debra Ragin and husband, John of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Donna Hinton of Sumner, Illinois, Daniel Cummins and wife, Cindy of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Deanna Russell of Lawrenceville, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Jared Cummins, Bradly Cummins, Makayla Johnson, Adrianna Johnson, Ivy Oberlink, Hunter Miller, and Draven Oberlink; two great-grandchildren, Laila Bellfield and Kamari Graham; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The body will be cremated and no formal service will be conducted. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with the funeral expenses. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
