MURRAY RESIGNS AS BRIDGEPORT POLICE CHIEF

Scott Murray has stepped down as Bridgeport Police Chief . Mayor Michael Crask made the announcement Monday saying that Murray had decided to resign his position with the city police force and Crask accepted the resignation. Murray was charged after being involved in a domestic incident this past weekend in Bridgeport. Crask thanked Murray for his years of service with the department and then went on to name Danny Ash as the interim Police Chief. Ash is currently the departments School Resource Officer with Red Hill Unit 10 and will remain in that position while acting chief.
