MATTOX IN RICHLAND COUNTY COURT

court-4

Probable cause was found Thursday during preliminary hearing to hold a Richland County man charged with murder in the deaths of two women for trial. 60 year old Richard Mattox of Dundas appeared before a judge who ruled that since there was more than 1 death involved in the case, Mattox could face life in prison if convicted. He was charged with two counts of First Degree Murder and a single count of Aggravated Battery in a Public Place after alledgedly driving his pickup off the road and into the patio area of the Deuces Wild Saloon killing two Olney women in late December. The next pretrial date will be on Thursday March 4th. Mattux remains incarcerated in the Richland County Jail in Olney on $1.5 million bond.
