The Lawrence Unit #20 Board of Education was updated Wednesday on the battle against COVID-19 in the district schools since re-opening for in-person instruction. Superintendent Doug Daugherty also indicated that staff vaccinations would get underway next week through the LCHD. The board also discussed and received reports from adminstrators at each school on programs to help the educational improvement of at-risk children in each building and also ways to combat learning loss suffered through remote learning including perhaps summer school. A resolution regarding the issuance and sale of school bonds for the purpose of increasing the district working cash fund for future use was also approved.
