The Lawrence Public Library Board met in regular session Tuesday evening at the library located on 12th Street in downtown Lawrenceville. They were updated by Director Dianne Brumley on the continued use of the facility during the pandemic and she indicated that use numbers are down but are starting to rise with better weather. Those who use the library are asked to wear a mask, social distance and limit their time inside. Brumley also reported the library lift passed inspection in December by the Illinois Fire Marshall-Division of Elevator Safety and that the ballot has been certified for the next consolidated election on April 6th by the county clerk. The four library trustee candidates on the ballot will be Janet Faro, Jamie Cox, Julie Mieure, and Deanna Ratts Boyd.
