The Bi-State Authority which governs the Mid-American Air Center located northeast of Lawrenceville were updated on two major 2021 projects at their monthly meeting Tuesday. Manager Kurt Schwartz talked about the $2.5 million runway project saying that the preconstruction meeting has been held and they are working with their engineering firm on some remaining issues. He also spoke on the ultralight hanger construction that is ongoing and indicated that good weather has allowed progress to be made toward completion. Also during the session, committee appointments for 2021 were announced by Authority Chairman David Whitson.
