Lawrence County residents and others across the state will now be able to get their drivers licenses or license plate stickers renewed in person. The Illinois Secretary of State facilities at sites including Lawrenceville are scheduled to reopen to in-person service Tuesday. The offices had been closed to such services due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The department again reminds citizens that most have until June to renew their licenses so there is no need to rush to an office the very first day. And many services can be done online via the department website.
