The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 5,059 new and probable cases of coronavirus across the state Monday with 79 new deaths. Overall there have been a total of 984,880 cases of the disease since the pandemic began with 16,834 deaths. The latest Lawrence County Health Department figures show 2,066 positive cases with 58 active. 2 people are hospitalized with 1,985 recoveries and the death toll remains at 23. The Indiana State Health Department reported 23 new cases of COVID-19 Monday in Knox County bringing the cases total now to 2,982. The death count is stationary at 38.
