Two Richland County women were killed over the weekend when a truck hit an Olney nightspot Saturday night. Illinois State Police report that around 7:50 p.m. a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by 60 year old Michael Mattox of Dundas was traveling west on West North Avenue approaching South West Street. He proceeded through the intersection and then veered off the road and struck the outdoor patio at the Deuces Wild Saloon. Two females standing on the patio were struck and killed by the truck-48 year old DeAnn Richardson and 69 year old Judy Jourdan both of Olney. Mattox was also injured and taken to the hospital with minor injuries. After investigation, Mattox was initially charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence, Improper Lane Usage and No Valid License. Other charges could be pending in the case.
