The Illinois Department of Public Health Monday reported 7,214 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus across the state with 103 additional deaths. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 856,118 cases statewide with 14,394 deaths. The latest Lawrence County Health Department numbers indicate 1,470 positive cases with 129 active. 2 people are hospitalized with 1,321 recoveries. There have been 20 COVID-19 related deaths. The Indiana State Department of Health reports 11 new cases of COVID-19 Monday in Knox County bringing the total there to 2,530. There have been 32 deaths. The state of Illinois has received its first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine at the Strategic National Stockpile of approximately 43,000 dose. The majority of those doses will be delivered to the Regional Hospital Coordination Centers across the state. They will serve as pickup locations for local health department to begin distribution to healthcare workers in their jurisdictions.
