Lawrenceville Police Chief Jim White has issued his departmental activity report for November. City police received 275 calls during the month. They were involved in 10 drug investigations, 9 vandalism investigations and 7 assault and batteries investigations. The department also looked into 4 cases of theft, 3 burglaries and 2 shopliftings. Lawrenceville police made 15 felony, 16 misdeameanor and 3 juvenile arrests during the month and also issued 5 ordinance violations. 6 child abuse and neglect and 4 missing person cases were undertaken. There were 10 traffic accidents reported with 8 of those involving property damage, 1 property damage and 1 was a hit and run incident. The department did assist the Illinois State Police and Lawrence County Sheriffs Department 3 times and emergency fire and medical personnel 3 times in November.
