The St Francisville City Council met in regular session Wednesday night and after a public hearing, approved the annual 2020 tax levy of just over $47,000 which was a decrease from 2019. They also approved the 2020 Fiscal Year Audit presented by Kemper C.P.A. which was characterized as “clean”. In other actions, the council did approve membership in the Illinois Municipal League and Christmas bonuses for full and part time city employees. It was announced by city clerk Terri Wease that candidates for the April 6th municipal election must have their petitions turned in to her by the date of Monday December 21st. Up for election are Mayor, City Clerk, City Treasurer, and 3 alderman positions.
