James Boone Goodlink, Sr., age 87, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, December 08, 2020 at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on March 02, 1933 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of Paul and Delora L. (Boone) Goodlink. He married Ellen Jones on January 14, 1969, and she preceded him in death on January 02, 2001.
Jim retired from Kuert Concrete in 1998, after 33 years as a truck driver. He loved traveling and visited all 50 states. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Moose Lodge, attending sporting events with his family, playing chess with his son, George, and bowling with his son, James. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. His family will remember him as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who was always there to support them.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Ellen; one brother, John Goodlink; and four sisters, Barbara Ferguson, Paula Arnold, Jane Poole, and Judy Griffin.
Survivors include his three children, James Goodlink, Jr. and wife, Dara of South Bend, Indiana, Audrey St. Germain and husband, Mike of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania and George Goodlink of Bremen, Indiana; one brother, Robert Goodlink of Lawrenceville, Illinois; four sisters, Mary Webb and Sarah Taylor of Lawrenceville, Illinois, Margaret Odle of Indiana and Elizabeth Siemons of Florida; and six grandchildren, James Goodlink III, Kendall Goodlink, Baylie Goodlink, Andrew St. Germain, Alexander Goodlink, and Courtney Goodlink.
