The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 8,256 new and probable cases of coronavirus across the state Wednesday with 179 additional deaths. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 812,430 cases with 13,666 deaths. The latest Lawrence County Health Department figures indicate there have been 1,367 positives with 98 active cases. 5 people are currently hospitalized and 1,254 have recovered. There have been 15 COVID-19 related deaths.
