The Good Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary Board announced this week it was approving various purchases that will improve patient care. The funds for the purchases were earned through various fundraising activities and gift shop sales throughout the year. The Auxiliary is made up of volunteers who work in various areas of the hospital in Vincennes. One of the items purchased this year is a Natus Hearing Screen for the Nursery and OB Unit for just over $17,300. Another donation was made to buy Trophon2 devices used to disinfect ultrasound equipment for over $32,000. And the Auxiliary chose to make a $50,000 donation to the GSH Foundation for the construction of the Charles Hedde M.D. Health Education Center. The total amount donated in 2020 by the Auxiliary totals over $98,645.
