A rescheduled video pretrial hearing was held Tuesday for 25 year old Brodey Murbarger of Evansville formerly of Fairfield. Murbarger has pled not guilty to three counts of First Degree Murder in connection with the disappearance and death of Wayne County teen Megan Nichols in 2014. The two were dating at the time the girl went missing and her remains were later found in a rural area of Wayne County. Murbarger was formally indicted by a grand jury. During the proceeding, a defense motion to reduce Murbarger’s $300,000 cash only bond was denied but a motion to allow in-person visits while he in incarcerated was granted. Murbarger is scheduled for another pretrial in January.
