Both the Illinois and Indiana State Police are combining their efforts for special holiday patrols this holiday weekend. The two agencies are conducting “Operation Slow Your Roll” over Thanksgiving, typically one of the busiest travel weekends of the year. Both will have extra troopers on the roads in each state watching for moving violations, impaired and distracted driving, failure to move over and not wearing seat belts.
