The Chicago Cubs have locked up their new President of Baseball Operations for the future. The team announced Monday that they have agreed to a new five year contract with Jed Hoyer. The deal will keep him with the organization through the 2025 season. Hoyer was promoted to the position last week following the departure of Theo Epstein.  He has been with the Cubs since 2011 previously serving as General Manager under Epstein. Terms of the deal were not announced.
