The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 8,322 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus across the state Monday-less than in previous days. There were 47 additional deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department recieved notification of 46 local residents who tested positive for the disease over a two day period from Sunday through Monday. 33 of those are related to multiple outbreaks within the county. All individuals are currently under home quarantine with contact tracing underway. According to the IDPH. Lawrence County how has 873 confirmed cases total. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 664,620 cases overall in Illinois. The Indiana State Health Department reports that there were 73 additional cases reported Monday in Knox County bring the total there to 1,780. There were also 2 new deaths in the county raising the total to 17.
