Eastern Illinois University students will transition to online-only learning after Thanksgiving next week. University officials with the school in Charleston announced that decision this week out of caution because of recent COVID-19 surges on college campuses. They did say however that the campus will remain open for students who choose to return after the holiday recess. Eastern currently plans to return to in-person instruction for the spring semester.
