The Lawrence County Board met in regular monthly session Wednesday at the courthouse in Lawrenceville and approved a resolution to allow the use of the Illinois Appellate Prosecutors Office by the Lawrence County States Attorney as need be in the future. They did set a special session for Monday at 4 p.m. in the board room at the courthouse for the official adoption of the Fiscal Year 2021 Budget and Tax Levy. The board was formally introduced to the new manager of the Lawrence County Farm Bureau-Emily Volkamp from Freeburg in western Illinois. She was hired last week and will replace Paige Langenhorst who is leaving this week.
