The Illinois State Fire Marshalls Office has announced that the application period is underway for the Small Equipment Grant Program. $3.3 million will be awarded to eligible fire departments and ambulance services who apply. The application period ends on January 29th of 2021. The program provides grants of up to $26,000 for the purchase of small firefighting and ambulance equipment. $3.5 million was awarded to 154 fire departments/districts and EMS providers through the program in June of 2020. Applications can be made to the Illinois OSFM.
