Unit 20 Superintendent Doug Daugherty has announced that all students will be going to remote learning only as of next week starting on Monday, November 16th. Daugherty indicated in a release on the district website that the decision was made due to the spike in COVID-19 cases not only in Lawrence County but in the Unit 20 district itself. The district plans to return to school on Monday November 30th. Daugherty added that the district is in the process of finalizing remote learning plans and will be releasing details on meals, learning packets and internet availability as soon as possible. Red Hill Unit 10 Superintendent Jakie Walker reported 2 district staff workers have tested positive for the disease and precautions have been taken to prevent spread within the district. Unit 10 is remaining as is at the moment in regard to it’s Reopening Plan.
