Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb Wednesday announced he was imposing more COVID-19 restrictions beginning this Sunday across the state. The move comes after several weeks of increases in virus hospitalizations and deaths. The new steps include crowd size limitations in those counties with higher-risk levels of coronavirus spread and limiting crowd capacities for K-12 school sports and extracurricular events. The governor also announced he was extending the statewide mask mandate for another month. The Indiana State Department of Health reported 39 new cases of the disease in Knox County Wednesday which raises the overall county total to 1,248 cases. Knox County remains at 12 COVID-19 deaths.
