MT CARMEL ALLOWING HIGH SCHOOL PRACTICE

Reports out of neighboring Wabash County indicate that the District #348 school board earlier this week did approve allowing Mt Carmel High School to begin official basketball practices under IHSA health and safety guidelines for the potential of a winter season. The IHSA did vote to allow it’s member schools to play, but left the decision up to the local school boards. The first day of practice allowed by the IHSA is Monday, November 16th. The IHSA decided to defy Governor J.B. Pritzger and the Illinois Department of Public Health who upgraded basketball to High Risk and moved the season to the spring.
