The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 12,623 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus Tuesday with 79 additional deaths statewide. The Lawrence County Health Department was notified of 33 county residents who tested positive for COVID-19 Tuesday. All are currently quarantining at home with contact tracing underway. With those new positive cases, the LCHD is reporting 550 positive cases with 184 of those active. 3 people are hospitalized and 357 have recovered and the death count is stationary at 9. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been a total of 511,183 cases with 10,289 deaths in Illinois. The Indiana State Department of Health reports that Knox County had 28 new cases in the last 24 hours raising the total there to 1,209 cases.
