Leslie M. Harlan, age 84 of Lawrenceville, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, in Vincennes, IN at Good Samaritan Hospital from complications of COVID-19.
He was born March 31, 1936 in Bridgeport to Alpha and Mary (Phillips) Harlan. He married Dianne Reid on May 26, 1976, and she preceded him in death on September 8, 2003.
Leslie proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He worked at Texaco Refinery, Mid-America Air Center, and the Lawrence Township Public Library. He was a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church.
Surviving family includes: five sons and five daughters- James (Georgia) Harlan of Lawrenceville, Dennis (Wendy) Harlan of Brownsburg, IN, Steven (William) Harlan of Evansville, IN, Laura Lawrence of Vincennes, IN, Janet Harlan of Lawrenceville, Jeanette Harlan of Lebanon, IN, Jeffrey (Laurie) Reid of Vincennes, IN, John (Theresa) Reid of Kentucky, Heather Schernekau of Robinson, and Amy (JD) Dolkey of Washington, IN: one sister- Barbara (Lamar) Hesler of Robinson: 33 grandchildren: and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one son, Michael Reid Harlan.
Private graveside services will be held for the family due to Covid-19 precautions. Arrangements are being handled by Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville.
