The Illinois Department of Transportation has announced that beginning Monday, November 9th, Illinois Route 1 at the intersection with Illinois Route 33 east of Robinson at Gordon Junction will be closed to vehicular traffic. The closure in neighboring Crawford County will allow Indiana Railroad to make repairs to the rail crossing just south of the intersection. A detour will be posted during the week long project and motorists are advised to follow it and allow for extra time if traveling in the area. The work is anticipated to be finished by Friday November 13th.
