Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzger and the Illinois Department of Public Health have announced that COVID-19 resurgence mitigations will be started in Region 6-East-Central Illinois beginning at 12:01 a.m. Monday November 2nd. The region has seen a 7 day rolling average test positivity rate of 8% or above for 3 consecutive days which exceeds the threshold set under the Restore Illinois Plan. Region 6 includes Lawrence County along with Richland, Clay, Crawford, Jasper, Effingham, Fayette, Clark, Cumberland, Coles, Shelby, Edgar, Douglas, Moultrie, Macon, Vermillion, Champaign, Piatt, DeWitt, Ford, and Iroquois counties.
