TWO QUALIFY FOR CROSS COUNTRY SECTIONAL

Two Lawrenceville-Red Hill Cross Country Indians have advanced to Sectional. That after qualifying at the Class 1A Chrisman Regional meet Saturday. Brayden Green finished 3rd overall in the boys competition in 17:07.2. That is the highest individual boys finish by an Indian runner since 2016 and first top 5 finish since 2017. He advances to the sectional Saturday at Decatur St Theresa along with Ophelia Klein of the Lady Indians. She finished 26th overall in the girls race in 22:42.9 but was the 5th of 5 individuals not on advancing teams enabling her to compete at sectional. Among the other Indian competitors-Alex Helderman finished 75th in 21:44.2 in the boys race. Kyra Griesemer was 35th in the girls race in a personal best 23:06.2 , Reese Tracy 45th in a personal best 23:50.2 and Cara Eagleson 47th in 23:54.6.
