An Effingham woman died Saturday in a two vehicle collision on U.S.40 in Effingham County. Illinois State Police say that a 2004 Chevrolet being driven by 67 year old Deborah Hendricks was traveling east and veered across the center line and hit a westbound 2017 Peterbilt Truck-Tractor Trailer being driven by 26 year old Jeremy Davenport of Ouincy Ill headon. Hendricks did not survive the collision while Davenport was hurt and taken to a local hospital. Investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
