The Lawrence Public Library Board of Trustees Tuesday met in regular monthly session at the library in downtown Lawrenceville. Executive Director Dianne Brumley informed the board of the reciept of a Fiscal Year 2020 Per Capita state grant of just over $21,000. Brumley indicated that the funds would be used for the purchase of print items and books for the facility. The library makes application each year for the grant. The board did, upon Brumley’s recommendation, vote to have the library remain open for regular business on Election Day Tuesday November 3rd. Election Day is an Illinois state holiday.
