JUDGE RULES IN FAVOR OF BAILEY

court-5

Reports out of Sangamon County indicate that a judge there has denied Governor J.B. Pritzger’s motion to vacate the orders of a Clay County Circuit Court judge who ruled against him. The order handed down Monday did say that the governor could still challenge the ruling for other reasons, but not for jurisdiction. The Clay County judge ruled earlier this summer in a lawsuit filed by 109th District Republican State Representative Darren Bailey that Pritzger exceeded his executive authority after his initial order during the pandemic. Should the governor wish to file a motion for reconsideration of the ruling, oral arguments on the matter would be taken up on December 7th.
