Judge Raylene Grischow is expected to rule within two to three weeks on whether the lawsuits alledging overreach of power by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzger in battling COVID-19 should be dismissed. She made that statement during a hearing late last week in Sangamon County Circuit Court. A number of suits were filed in several Illinois counties saying the Governor did not have the emergency authoritiy to extend an executive order regarding the disease past the first order in March. The Illinois Supreme Court moved all the pending lawsuits to Sangamon County and Judge Grischow was assigned to hear them. During last week’s hearing, the judge did order all sides to submit their proposed orders by this Friday, October 23rd.
