The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there were 2,851 new cases of coronavirus across the state Tuesday with 29 additional confirmed deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department were notified of three county residents who tested positive Tuesday-three females-1 in her 20s, 1 in her 50s and 1 in her 60s. The cases are not related and each is under home quarantine with contact tracing underway. With those new cases, Lawrence County now has 284 positives with 26 still active. 1 person is hospitalized and 250 have recovered. There are now 8 deaths being reported from the disease locally. No information was yet available on that death. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 324,743 cases statewide with 9,026 deaths.
