The Bi-State Authority met in regular session Tuesday and were informed on the progress being made on two airport improvement projects. Airport manager Kurt Schwartz reported that the environmental study for the the Runway 18/36 overlay project has now been completed. That sets the stage for that project to take place in 2021. He also reported that the airport terminal roof and outside renovation work is nearing completion in the next week with some additional painting to be done. Approved was increasing the farmland leases by $45 an acre upon committee recommendation after meeting with the tenants recently.
