3 MORE COVID-19 CASES IN LAWRENCE COUNTY

The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there were 2,630 new cases of coronavirus across the state Wednesday with 42 additional confirmed deaths. One of those a male in his 70s in neighboring Wabash County. The Lawrence County Health Department was notified of 3 county residents who tested positive for COVID-19 Wednesday-a male in his 20s, a male in his 30s and a female in her 80s. The cases are not related and all are currently under home quarantine with the exception of two people who are hospitalized. Contact tracing in those cases is underway. According to the LCHD there have now been 276 positive cases locally with 19 of those active. As mentioned, 2 individuals are in the hospital, 250 people have recovered and there have been 7 deaths. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 307,641 cases of the disease statewide with 8,878 deaths according to the IDPH.
