A Lawrence County woman was injured in a two vehicle accident in Jasper County. The mishap occured on Illinois Route 33 at a county road intersection. Illinois State Police say a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu being driven by 21 year old Allison Nash of Vincennes was traveling east on 33 and was attempting to pass a 2011 International truck tractor grain trailer being driven by 31 year old Michael Finley of Newton. The Finley vehicle attempted to turn onto a county road and was struck by the passing Nash auto. Neither driver was injured, but a passenger with Nash, 48 year old Tracie Nash of Bridgeport was hurt. She was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities investigating did ticket Allison Nash with Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Improper Lane Usage and Failure to Wear a Seat Belt.
