The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 6,101 new cases of coronavirus across the state Friday through Sunday with 95 additional deaths. The IDPH is also reporting 3 deaths late last week in Lawrence County-a female in her 60s and 2 females in their 90s. The Lawrence County Health Department reported 4 county residents testing positive Sunday for the disease. They are under home quarantine and have contact tracing ongoing. With those new cases, the IDPH numbers indicate there have been 270 positive cases in Lawrence County with 6 deaths. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 301,541 cases in the state with 8,791 deaths. 28 counties are on the IDPH warning list for COVID-19-5 from southeastern Illinois-Coles, Crawford, Jasper, Richland and Wabash.
