Authorities in Effingham County report that a Florida man was killed in a two vehicle accident Thursday on the Dieterich-Montrose Blacktop. The crash occured around 2 p.m. when a pickup being driven by 65 year old Michael Schulz of Davenport Florida crossed the centerline and hit a semi being driven by 62 year old Weidner Prather of Effingham. Schulz was pronounced dead at the scene while Prather was treated at St Anthony Hospital in Effingham and released. An autopsy was scheduled for Friday and investigation into the incident is continuing pending those results and toxicology reports.
