Illinois State Police report that the man wanted for murder in neighboring Richland County has now been captured in Florida. 18 year old Rick Meador of Olney was arrested by U.S. Federal Marshalls and the Walton County Florida Sheriffs Department Wednesday. The arrest occured at a campground in DeFuniak, FL. Also taken into custody at that location was a 16 year old female juvenile who was listed as missing and endangered. Meador was wanted for First Degree Murder in the shooting death of 19 year old Kyle Johnson of Olney in Olney September 6th. He is currently being held in the Walton County Florida Jail waiting extradition back to Illinois. The 16 year old female juvenile remains in protective custody.
